Quick to action, figures things out while doing, direct, sees things for what they are (not what could be). These are all very Se characteristics. Ne is more about seeking novelty, brainstorming, and playing with ideas/possibilities. Hal doesn’t seem to do any of that. His style is much more “f**k around and find out”, act first think later. Also, his way of following his gut is much more Ni in the sense that he has a singular insight that he moves towards. A good example of this is in the first episode when he was trying to prove that guy was an alien. If he was an Ne user, he most likely would’ve thought of multiple possibilities of what was going on to explore and bounce around in his head until he then came up with the conclusion that the guy was an alien. At this point, he’s been a green lantern for a very long time so his Ni would be extremely developed. In his younger years, I would definitely expect he probably needed a lot more empirical evidence (Se) before coming up with an intuitive insight. But now he would have an entire catalog of empirical data from his experiences as a green lantern for his Ni to draw conclusions from in his subconscious. I could see an argument for him having Ti but then again, I don’t see any Fe in him. I do see Fi in his personal conviction and orientation towards identifying his own motivations + the motivations of others. Fi is all about asking WHY someone (either themself or others) has a specific goal/desire/belief. You can see this a lot in the way Hal talks to people, and I can see how that could be interpreted as the critical thinking and intellectual curiosity of Ti (especially when you combine it with my previous explanations of the Se-Ni thought process and the context that this is kind of a detective show). I’m not too sure how to explain his Te except for the fact that he’s very competent in completing tasks and goals based on his Fi motivations
