This dude is a terrible friend lmao. Ian is very ESTP coded because he's one of the only characters consistently responding to what’s actually happening in front of him instead of getting trapped in fantasies, obsession, or denial. He’s practical, blunt, and action-oriented from the beginning telling Bear to stop overcomplicating things and just ask Nikki out for drinks instead of making trivia night into a dramatic confession scene. Even when things start getting weird, Ian defaults to concrete explanations first ("maybe she’s back on Molly") because ESTPs tend to trust observable reality before jumping to abstract conclusions. He's not theorizing for hours; he's trying to assess the situation and do something about it. What also makes Ian feel ESTP is that mix of realism and social adaptability. He's constantly moving, checking in, hosting people, organizing hangouts and trying to keep things functioning in real time. His concern for Nikki also feels very tertiary Fe, not overly emotional or sentimental, but practical care expressed through action rather than words. While everyone else gets consumed by obsession, denial, jealousy, or fantasy, Ian stays grounded in the here-and-now: something's wrong, people are acting weird, and somebody should probably deal with it. Ironically, that normal, present focused mindset is exactly why his death hits so hard, he feels like the only person operating in reality while everyone else is trapped in the nightmare.
