Danganronpa 2x2 (in Japan: スーパーダンガンロンパ２×２, pronounced "Two by Two")[3] is an upcoming visual novel game featuring the remake and retelling of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. It is developed by Gemdrops and is scheduled to be released on January 14, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).[1][2][4][5][6] The game offers two different storylines, "Original Mode" and "Slayhem Mode." Original Mode is a remake of the original storyline, enhanced for modern platforms with revamped visuals and refined presentation. By contrast, Slayhem features an exclusive and drastically different scenario, introducing new events, victims, culprits, and twists.[4][3][7] Its volume is roughly 120% that of the original storyline and contains 35 hours of gameplay in comparison to the original's 30 hours.[8][9]
