𓃀𓋴𓄜 | Bes / Bisu Bes, a capering dwarfish god who protected children from harm and, as an opponent of evil, symbolized the enjoyment of life. Unlike the other Egyptian gods, he was represented facing forward instead of in profile. While the other gods get animal heads, Bes wears ostrich plumes. His unusual design was often attributed to being an import to Egypt, but recent archaeological evidence suggests he's actually one of the oldest Egyptian gods.
