this was originally a reply to someone elses comment but it got too longwinded so. putting it here lol ISTPs have a principle that they commit to & follow through on. theyre forceful with it and dont make compromises or bend to other people's opinions. they tend to have a black and white worldview that gets them confused with xSTJs ISTJs don't internalize what they believe to be right or wrong like a ti dominant type would. theyre more concerned with accuracy in their worldview. ISTJs err on the side of caution & are more willing to be proven wrong because their external logic is guided by si they arent too dissimilar to INTPs in this regard, INTPs' ne just makes them more perceptive to potential contradictions in their logic. contradictions have to be pointed out to an ISTJ before they accept or reject them i will say. ISTJs are extremely stubborn in their habits
