When the phrase “Loving someone even at the cost of compromising yourself is something worth trying” appears in the comic, it’s a complete manifestation of Fe. The character instinctively affirms this kind of suppression and self-sacrifice as a way to achieve a deeper emotional connection. So many of his actions and subconscious tendencies reveal a dominant Fe and inferior Ti. From the very first chapter, I couldn’t ignore the strong Fe–Ti functional axis, as well as the combination of impulsiveness and restraint brought by his fifth-function Fi. At first glance, this character exhibits behaviors typically associated with individuals who display the extraverted manifestation of the Fi–Te axis — for instance, his cold and guiltless execution of those he deems deserving of death. However, a deeper examination reveals that these actions are not driven by a healthy or conscious Fi–Te orientation, but rather by its shadow counterpart. His motivation stems from repressed emotional retaliation, shaped by the interplay of an inferior Ti and a demonic Te, which together manifest as extreme and destructive means of control. A compelling illustration of his Fe-dominance appears during the prison arc, where his reasoning and moral judgments emerge primarily through emotional interaction with others, rather than from internal logical consistency. His dependence on relational dynamics to construct meaning reflects a fundamentally Fe–Ni cognitive orientation. Conversely, the activation of his shadow Fi–Te axis occurs only when he loses those with whom he can form meaningful emotional connections—when his Fe–Ni relational focus collapses. In the aftermath, he turns inward, forced to rely on Fi–Te as a distorted mechanism for survival and self-definition. Although my own typological orientation places Fi in the fourth position, I still find my Fi expression far more pronounced than his, indicating that his Fi operates predominantly from the unconscious, shadow domain. He is therefore not an individual with conscious Fi orientation. This contrast becomes particularly striking when juxtaposed with the ENTJ warden in the same narrative, whose overt Fi–Te dynamics serve as a mirror and foil to the protagonist’s repressed emotional functions.
