背景
Himeros, God of desire and lust, who (Greek: Ἵμερος "uncontrollable desire", Latin: Himerus) represented desire and unrequited love. Himeros was identified by his carrying a taenia, a colourful headband worn by athletes. Hesiod's Theogony says that he accompanied Aphrodite to the Gods, alongside Eros. He is one of the seven Erotes.
