He and Wendy are pretty clearly Gamma duals, LIE and ESI. SLE-IEI doesn't make sense; whenever they engage in a direct face-to-face confrontation, Wendy wins the battle of wills. (Wendy's Se, by the way, is strong throughout the show, far more than that of an IEI would be. And her demeanor fits that of an ESI quite well.) It's not a question of Axe initially lording it over Wendy and then yielding bit by bit to her emotional influence. Wendy very transparently controls Axe almost from day one, and he knows this, and he lets her, because he trusts her Fi fidelity to him. She has a degree of autonomy and power over Axe that an IEI would never openly display in front of an SLE.
