Niccolò isn’t someone who forms his decisions and conclusions to align with a personal logical system. He also doesn’t seek to understand situations in a logical sense. Even in the auxiliary position, some value placed on logical systems will be evident, which it clearly isn’t in Niccolò. Niccolò’s judgements and decisions come from his own ethical standards, focusing more on personal criteria rather than logical and systemic criteria. His strong hatred towards Damiano in the beginning of season 1 all came from a place of his subjective feelings which caused him to develop aggression and hatred towards him. He’s highly in tune with what his own likes & dislikes and what he believes it right vs wrong. Additionally, I can’t see Niccolò leading with Pe > Ji as he doesn’t give priority to sensory exploration within his environment and focus on outer objects―Pe dominant is a much better option for a character like Ludovica or Brando. Instead, Niccolò uses Ji as he forms standards and categories based on feeling-based judgements through which perceptions can be analyzed and given meaning. Niccolò is often guided by subjective criteria stemming from his emotion hence why he vandalizes the headmaster’s office and blaming Damiano, while excusing it to Cami by saying; “he feels he did the right thing.” He also fits the ‘still waters run deep’ description of Fi as he appears cold, and indifferent while being guided by subjective feelings and intense emotionality. This is why he confessed his ‘relationship’ with Chiara to Camilla, because he couldn’t handle concealing his true feelings. I also fail to see Niccolo as an E8. While he does have a few traits from this enneagram (which is common because SX4s tend to be very eight-ish) ― I fail to lust (hedonism, pleasure seeking, constant need for sensory pleasure, etc), inability to give themselves over to weakness, strong sense of justice, stance of indifference, etc. Instead, Niccolo aligns with the passion of E4 (envy), as he displays a competitive “why not me” attitude. He denies his feelings of inferiority with a mask of “I should have it. It’s unfair that I don’t” much like the Sexual Four « If the social E4 suffers more than the other subtypes from feeling guilty about any desire, the sexual E4 turns against shame by becoming shameless in order to satisfy its intense desires. Therefore, even if it is embarrassing, it will knock on every possible door. He becomes insistent, even against frustrations. "The more I complain, the more I'm going to get," he seems to think. Also, the E4 is emotionally dependent and demanding their symbolic ‘good mother’ while E8s detach as a means of survival and goes at it alone. Niccolò clearly fits the former. Additionally, Niccolò reacts to his envy around Damiano by taunting him, picking fights with him, etc
