Even though Lex has built an empire off of his father's name, he is a disorganized (hinting more of Ti) prodigy/Genius who makes tenuous links between seemingly unrelated ideas (Ne). For example, Lex believes he must murder Superman because the Man of Steel is "a god" who has fallen to earth, and he holds "god" responsible for not protecting him from his abusive father as a child (inferior Si). He blames "god" for his problems because "god" did not help him when he needed it, therefore now he wants to destroy "god" because he is not invincible and cannot be fooled. His reasoning is extremely complex and philosophical, but it justifies his actions: he wants to make Batman hate Superman, leverage Batman's own anxieties about Superman for a more sinister goal, and then have Superman fight back so that Batman can kill him with kryptonite. His public persona is characterized by a frantic energy, with frequent mockery and lightheartedness masking a darker intention (Child Fe): the desire to kill Superman out of a perverted sense of animosity toward him for being so magnificent, while Lex is so weak. He takes on the task of implementing a massive scheme, improvising as he goes and even risking personal appearances in the lead-up to his disclosure (if Superman kills him, however, his mother is toast). He dabbles in science and is a man of peculiar ideas, such as "studying" Zod and green kryptonite as a means to an end in his grand plot. One may argue that he destroys systems, people, and ways of thinking only to learn about their inner workings and logic. Lex finds satisfaction in seeing others' reactions. His charisma calms them down and puts them at ease. He is wicked but also charming and witty, able to win over a room full of people (who, granted, might think him peculiar). As he introduces himself, he tells us about his father's life. He has maintained several aspects of his family's tradition, including carrying on his father's name, utilizing his father's letterhead, using the Luthor brand, etc. He may be comparing his present achievements to those of his father in an effort to top them. He thinks it's hilarious to set people against one another only to watch them kill each other. Lex is witty and humorous, able to make light of uncomfortable situations, but he is also aggressive and cruel, and he is not wrong to see Superman as a major threat to humanity. Instead of sitting back and seeing what unfolds, he suggests that people "take him down."
