Benoît Poelvoorde (born September 22, 1964) is a French-speaking Belgian actor. With his friend André Bonzel he wrote, produced and directed the cult movie "C'est arrivé près de chez vous" (Man Bites Dog, 1992). His recurrent character as a pretentious person and a sore loser made him be ranked in 7th place in the 2005 Walloon version of the Greatest Belgian of all times.
