**Session 4 and 5 (Especially 5) said a lot about Jonathan. So a bit of spoilers if you hadn't seen that (edit 03/12: i APOLOGIZE!!! I wrote this last night at low energy so i confused fi and ti. My previous analysis was Fi>Ti. Thank you other voter for opening my eyes I have now rewritten my argument) Ti- I think as a result of growing up without his parents, he had to form his own code to stick to. I confused this with Fi, he didn't form his code through what he felt. Its evident in how he constantly rejects or affirms particular topics and concepts through what he has learned: -There isn't a cure: "I have tried and tried again, and no one has come up with anything to confirm otherwise. I have put enough time into research and seen many things happen over the years to verify there isn't any." -God has abandoned us: Maybe stemmed from the repeated reassurance of God's help arriving. However, the state of the world after this instilled belief was shown to him as proof, therefore confirming that God has left them. This leads to him throwing the belief away and conforming his values to whatever tangible there is in the world to offer, and his values evolve the more information he collects. Se- He notices a lot of things! Sensing even! He's very sensitive to the world around him. Maybe developed that way because he lived his entire life in post-apocalyptic paradise city. It just is his average thing at this point. Very reactive! The journal! I like to think of it as his personal code. It's the only thing he trusted, and was everything that guided his journey and purpose throughout the outbreak. The book continues to reassure him of his security in the world. If you tried to remove the journal, he would seem to be aimless and a lot more pessimistic. He talks to spidey a lot about purpose, and maybe he was also projecting his experiences in that moment. Without purpose, he would be full of anxieties, and lose the reason to keep on living. That journal is his entire life force. B. Though it may be that his only reason for interacting with people is for his own benefit, it makes sense for it to be caused by his so6 (personal code) where he doesn't need to talk to or be dependent on people in the first place. Extra: Honestly the argument of making himself look strong to intimidate others (sx6) is plausible but I think it makes more sense if he was doing it unintentionally. He did not care about image whatsoever, and the point of the sx6 is to create an image for security.
