I think Kyoichi was a Si dom instead of Ni. Kyoichi believed in the superiority of the machine over the driver's skills and that his circuit developed techniques were superior to Ryosuke's street racing. As Ryosuke described, Kyoichi always waited for a surefire chance to pass, making him a very predictable racer. His fear of right turns was caused by his experience in circuit racing where he didn't have to worry about oncoming traffic, not to mention that his home course Irohazaka was a one way downhill road. I don't see Kyoichi being an INTJ because he's really different to Ryosuke who is a clear INTJ. Just watched Second Stage again. Kyoichi is all about sticking to the basics and doing the most rational thing to win. The most ISTJ of all the ISTJs.
