Taloopis is a major antagonist in No Man's Joey and one of the most powerful villains in the series. He is the incarnation of chaos and destruction and serves as the Destroyer. Like Anti-Joey before him, Taloopis rebelled against Joey and was cast out of heaven into the null void, where he has remained imprisoned for thousands of years. Unlike Anti-Joey, whose rebellion and fall were primordial, Taloopis's rebellion occurred during human antiquity rather than at the dawn of creation. By the time Taloopis was confined to the Null Void, Anti-Joey had already escaped. Like Amadeus and Anti-Joey, Taloopis is a sui generis sentinel, a unique being of the sentinel class of luminaries. According to prophecy, he will escape the null void when Anti-Joey wages war against Joey in heaven. During this conflict, Amadeus—the warden of the null void and the one who restrains Taloopis—will be forced to leave his post in order to oppose Anti-Joey, allowing Taloopis the opportunity to break free.
