It’s so ridiculous to suggest that Natsumi is anything but a 1. I can see why she’d be typed as an 8 on surface level, but Natsumi doesn’t show any interest in wanting control or autonomy as much as she values moral correctness. She sacrifices herself and overworks herself, overlooks certain mistakes, and sometimes takes upon the role of her mother when she’s late or not coming home soon. She also tends to bottle up how she feels instead of exploding immediately. Her anger was much more exaggerated in the anime, and she also hardly gets angry over something minor (there’s always a reason for WHY she gets angry, like the invasion operations) Natsumi pushes herself to the limit and wants to prove herself, to be independent and to do the right thing. She doesn’t just want to be capable—she also wants to do the right thing, even if it meant putting how she felt about it aside. She’s a very healthy and well written ESTJ 1w9 and the manga also explores her personality pretty well
