Ni is shown in how he essentializes different choice patterns(study to become better, fight the strong to improve weakness, guide 'young birds' out of their 'nest') into abstraction. His philosophy involves (single mindedly) commit to a single ideal with the purpose of actualizing the self into sth greater than oneself-focusing unwaveringly to a personal ideal that people create for themselves to overcome their own weaknesses-which is why I typed dom Ni. His beliefs are more conceptual than dom Fe imo. Also I think he prioritized the idea of the "self" over the idea of collective community (his speech to Takasugi in anime supported what I just said). Fe: His humane values, & how he sacrifices & protects his students (aka his "people") is Fe to me. Hes an entity born from utsuro-the entity that doesnt understand fleeting-ness, the creation that only knows how to take from the world. His welcoming nature(giving lectures to his executer, adopting gintoki, teaching free for poor kids so they can be their own brand of samurai) is few expression of how he values giving away goodness & promoting the values he develops from living amongst humans.
