I see Elle as a Social 2 with a So/Sp stacking rather than a Self-Preservation dominant 2. While she does care about stability and comfort, those concerns never seem to take priority over her relationships and sense of responsibility toward others. One of the clearest examples is her decision to return to Seattle despite having a seemingly perfect life in Los Angeles. Instead of remaining in the environment that was most comfortable for her, she chose to go back because she felt a strong need to repair relationships and make things right with the people there. This suggests that her focus is directed more toward people and her community than toward preserving her own comfort. Throughout the series, Elle consistently invests time and energy into supporting others, maintaining connections, and making the people around her feel valued and included. She often takes responsibility for social situations and seems genuinely concerned with the well-being of those around her. Because of this, I see Social as her dominant instinct. At the same time, I can still see Self-Preservation as secondary. She is not reckless and does value stability, but those concerns appear to support her social goals rather than define them. For that reason, So/Sp 2 makes the most sense to me.
