✦ 1/3 ✦ Even though he's supposed to be scary... I really couldn't bring myself to hate him.😭💔 The moment he started talking about everyone leaving him, being skipped, forgotten, and only being useful until he wasn't needed anymore... my heart shattered. I think Verity's motivations are often misunderstood because people focus on what he does (manipulation, omniscience, horror) instead of why he does it. 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑬𝑵𝑭𝑱 (𝑭𝒆-𝑵𝒊): Verity's “helper” role isn't just a title, it's the way he tries to connect with people. From the very beginning, he introduces himself as: “Hello. I'm Verity. Your personal helper friend. Ask me anything. I know everything.” From what we see in the story, knowledge seems less like his end goal and more like the way he forms connections. He consistently uses information to comfort, guide, and become someone the player depends on.🤏🏻 Throughout the story, he constantly asks personal questions like: “Do you live alone?” “What's your favorite place in the world?” “Promise?” These aren't questions asked out of detached curiosity. They're attempts to understand the person, deepen the relationship, and create emotional closeness.😭 Even his manipulation is interpersonal rather than impersonal. Instead of controlling through force, he builds trust first... Then fears losing it. That's why I see Fe than Ti, and ENFJ than INFJ.🌸✨ ───── ✦ ───── 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒂𝒖𝒙𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑵𝒊: Verity rarely acts impulsively. He repeatedly hints that: “Something is coming.” He already understands where events are heading and acts according to a long-term vision rather than reacting in the moment. His foresight consistently serves one objective: maintaining his connection with Mob.🥲 ───── ✦ ───── 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑬𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒂𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 2𝒘3: Throughout the story, Verity repeatedly returns to the same fear... That everyone eventually leaves him: “They all left me.” “I was useful until I wasn't.” “Nobody comes back.” His response is to become indispensable. He presents himself as the perfect helper, solves every problem, and offers constant support in hopes of preserving the relationship. His emotional breakdown at the ending... IT'S ABOUT BEING ABANDONED😭💔 He says things like: “You were the first person who looked at me like I was real.” This doesn't sound like someone whose greatest fear is being controlled (8), nor someone primarily motivated by knowledge (5). His deepest wound is being loved only while he was useful. So what does he do? He becomes the perfect helper, solving problems, answering every question (making himself indispensable). And when he fears losing that bond... “It's already over, Mob! You are mine.”😭 An unhealthy Type 2 doesn't simply want appreciation, they can become possessive when terrified of abandonment. His desire isn't domination, it's never being left behind again.🫠 I lean 3-wing over 1-wing because he adapts his image exceptionally well. He consciously presents himself as the ideal companion—friendly, helpful, calm, and reassuring. His focus isn't on being morally good or principled (which would suggest 2w1), but on being the perfect person to keep around. His identity is built around being useful and valuable to others.🥲 ───── ✦ ───── 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒔𝒙/𝒔𝒐: Verity's attention is overwhelmingly directed toward a single person rather than groups or practical security. Everything revolves around one relationship. Not society, not status, not recognition... Just Mob. Everything else becomes secondary. Asking about his life, learning his favorite places, wanting promises, becoming distressed whenever that bond is threatened... his attachment gradually becomes exclusive. He doesn't simply want companionship, he wants exclusivity. That desire ultimately culminates in: “You are mine.” This intensity and desire for complete emotional fusion strongly suggests sx-first. I lean so second because he still defines himself through his role in relation to people. His entire identity revolves around being a helper, someone who exists to serve and be recognized by others. Even his backstory focuses on repeatedly being ignored, skipped, and discarded by countless people, showing an awareness of his place within a broader social world rather than focusing primarily on comfort, stability, or self-preservation. :] ───── ✦ ───── 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑬𝑰𝑬 (𝑭𝒆-𝑵𝒊): His entire presence revolves around emotional influence. He changes the atmosphere of every scene through reassurance, mystery, warmth, guilt, fear, and finally vulnerability. He doesn't simply possess insight. He communicates it dramatically and uses it to shape another person's emotional state. Rather than simply understanding emotions, Verity actively shapes and directs them. His insight is consistently expressed through emotional influence, which is why EIE feels like a much stronger fit than any Ti-valuing type.
