"Que tipo de personalidade é Lt. Col. Thomas Devoe? Lt. Col. Thomas Devoe é um tipo de personalidade ESTP em mbti, 8w7 - - em enneagram, em Big 5, em sociônicos."
Thomas Davoe is an obvious Se dominant. Julia even comments on his impulsivity as being a key feature of who he is. He's very immediate. Very very immediate. ✅ Note how quick Thomas is to rush into action. I mentioned this in my last character typing that if you were to imagine a radio-frequency/volume knob the Se preferring individual scales the volume up to find themselves, whereas the Si preferring individual scales the volume down to find themselves. Thomas is always engaging in activity. Scaling the volume up. When he's welcomed to sit and wait in Julia's office he immediately starts fidgeting and snooping. Clear conscious preference for Se. ✅ Note the scene in which Thomas loses his friend. Julia asks how Thomas how he can be sure his friend was trustworthy. Thomas replies with "He's my friend" and does not self-evaluate the man's character at all. This as clear an indication of conscious Fe and unconscious Fi you're going to get. Thomas is not great with Fe, though, which is shown by how he interrupts in briefings and doesn't really take a courtroom with enough seriousness. I would say Fe tertiary makes sense. ✅ Note how when Thomas does interrupt the briefing near the start of the film he is clearly showing off that he has competency with both thinking functions, which makes sense for EXTP and IXTJ types. It's important to mention that through most of the film, though, Thomas is not going off of the facts. He's rather uncontained and is, instead, going off of objective opportunism (Se) and logic of partiality (Ti). He does not want to wait for any sort of consensus, which shows a clear and conscious preference for Ti. So, Ti auxiliary adds up. ✅ Note, for intuition, Thomas is short-sighted and looks to Julia to gather the intel and project forward from the facts at hand. Thomas is more instinctual. He's highly tactical. His strategic thinking, on the other hand, could use some work. Inferior Ni makes sense because he's not looking at how things will play out for himself. When he finds Julia with a fragile Dusan and the bomb he doesn't imagine ahead of time how his words will land, and, so, he inadvertently said something that engrossed Dusan's animosity leading to Dusan committing suicide with the bomb still alive on a timer, running out of time. Taking that instance of lack of foresight into consideration, coupled with the thrill seeking impulsivity, Ni inferior makes sense. Based on my findings, I will say Lt. Col. Thomas Devoe is most probable an ESTP.
