I think Tadashi is so obviously an INFJ. He is willing to do ANYTHING--run into a burning building, get arrested, or even die--for the people he cares about. That's one of the main characteristics of any Fe user. I know a lot of people see Tadashi as an ENFJ, and I do think he has similar qualities because his Fe and Ni are both really well developed, but I think his Ti is the deciding factor. He seems to have higher Ti than Se because of his ideas for Baymax and the testing sequence (he's really perfectionistic and tries over and over again to get it right). Tadashi seeks a deep understanding of healthcare and robotics, and I think he really enjoys it. He does have well-developed Se (i.e. the jump with the moped in the alley, a great Ni-Se combo scene), but I think his Ti is stronger. He just seems to use it more often than Se, and when he uses them together, his Se helps his Ti, not the other way around. Whether INFJ or ENFJ, though, I can understand the arguments. Both types are incredible, honestly. They both try to help everyone they can and are caring and kind. I've also heard arguments that he's Fe dom because he ran into the burning building without considering the consequences--but think about his Ni dom. This would mean he had an idea of what would happen when he ran in to save Callaghan--and he still did it. I'm certain Tadashi knew he was going to die. He recorded all these beautiful, inspirational videos for Hiro, and he prepared his baby brother in every possible way. He created Baymax to act as a brother substitute, as well as to help the rest of humanity. This shows Tadashi's Ni dom and I think it shows so much about his character--he knew he would die if he went in there to save Callaghan. And yet he still decided to do it, hoping he could fulfill that sense of purpose that INFJs have. He wanted to help others all the way up until the end. One could also point out the fact that Tadashi really seems to be socially introverted. He has a small circle of friends and seems to care a lot about them. I know ENFJs can absolutely be socially introverted, but it's definitely more common for INFJs. There's also the way he prepared Hiro for college, taking him to SFIT and carefully setting things up. He saw one path Hiro's future should take (Ni) and carefully manipulated him into going down it (Fe). Tadashi wasn't manipulating Hiro in a bad way, though, he was just trying to get his little brother on the right path. I think that this was a VERY clear example of his Ni>Fe. I do understand the ENFJ votes--I've struggled with the same debate about my personality. But I really do believe that Tadashi is an INFJ! Also, I'm pretty sure Tadashi is a 2w1. This type is nicknamed "The Giver," and it's a very fitting name. Tadashi gives love to everyone, giving until he can't anymore. He's not doing it because he wants to be loved in return, he's doing it because he believes it's the right thing (wing 1). Also, this correlates to strong Fe, which Tadashi undoubtedly has. I think Tadashi is a sp2 (kind, childlike, wants love). Some may argue that he doesn't exhibit the pride sin, but Tadashi doesn't really seem to exhibit ANY of the enneagram sins, so one must assume that he's a healthy, well-developed person. Tadashi loves everyone so much, but not because he wants to be loved back. He just wants to do the right thing and be kind because that's how he is. Lastly, Tadashi is (probably) NOT pure phleg. A key characteristic of phlegs is that they're passive people who try to avoid conflict at all costs. Tadashi does try to avoid all conflict, he's kind and sweet, but if the situation gets really tense, he'll do whatever it takes to help the people he loves. I just don't think a pure phlegmatic would run into a burning building or drive a moped into a bot fight. For this reason, I think Tadashi is a phleg-mel. Phlegmatic is definitely his primary temperament, but I think melancholic is his secondary. Melancholics are exceptionally loyal friends and they are deep, analytical thinkers. Tadashi shows both these qualities, and he just doesn't act like the passive phlegmatic all the time. I'm not saying phlegmatics are pushovers who will just lay down and take the beating--after all, my primary temperament is phlegmatic--but I don't think Tadashi is pure phleg. He's too passionate and stubborn. All in all, whatever type he may be, Tadashi is an INCREDIBLE person. You don't see many people like him, and he is an exceptional character with the most beautiful personality. I hope I was convincing in my argument XD
