I want to express how thankful I am to those who thought to include the Loving Reaper in the PDB. Before I continue, I want to clarify that, in my opinion, the Loving Reaper is an INFJ. He embodies every aspect of his goofy and gentle soul through his personality. It’s important to note that the Loving Reaper is quite different from the traditional depiction of Death. He genuinely cares for and sympathizes with everyone—though he does harbor some dislike for certain humans (not all, of course). He opens himself to others because he understands what it’s like, even if he hasn’t gone through their experiences himself. He still empathizes with each soul simply because he cares. To confirm whether he possesses a sense of intuition: he perceives both the future and the past, seeing beyond mere logic and surface-level observations. He has a vast imagination that blends heart and mind. Although he may lack physical organs to feel, he feels deeply on both a mental and emotional level. While it’s true that he doesn’t exhibit much Se (Extraverted Sensing), this trait is also common in many INFJs. Their personalities often rely on gut feelings to perceive what they want or need to see—though this can sometimes be frustrating, as it may interfere with intuitive clarity. 1. Profound Empathy and Compassion (Fe): The Loving Reaper consistently demonstrates deep empathy, offering solace to animals who have suffered due to human actions. He provides comfort without judgment, embodying the INFJ’s strong inclination to care for others and alleviate their pain. 2. Idealism and Moral Conviction (Ni): Despite the sorrow he witnesses, the Reaper maintains a vision of a more compassionate world. His actions are guided by a deep-seated belief in the value of every life, reflecting the INFJ’s characteristic idealism and commitment to their moral compass. 3. Complex and Moral Questioning (Ti): He doesn’t seek revenge, even when witnessing cruelty. Instead, he calmly evaluates the “why,” guiding animals with clarity and compassion. He also comprehends and manages his sensitivity when death comes to those who don’t deserve it. 4. Reserved Demeanor with Emotional Depth (I): The Reaper often appears solemn and introspective, yet his interactions reveal a rich emotional world. This balance mirrors the INFJ’s tendency to be reserved while possessing profound emotional insight. 5. Structured Approach to Duty (J): He carries out his responsibilities with consistency and dedication, ensuring that each soul is treated with dignity. This reflects the INFJ’s preference for organization and their commitment to their roles. While I don’t have concrete evidence to support my claims, you can look through Microfaun’s comics and decide for yourself whether my statement holds any truth.
