The project key vs. locket is the new artistic name adopted by Laura Almeida, formerly known as twikipedia, a 20-year-old Brazilian artist. On February 27, 2024, Laura released four demos on her new SoundCloud account, marking the beginning of this new musical phase. On April 11, 2025, she released her debut album under the name key vs. locket, titled i felt like a sketch, consisting of 13 tracks. This work represents a significant transition in her career, exploring sounds more aligned with indie rock and indie folk, while still retaining elements of her earlier styles such as digicore and hyperpop. Key vs. locket is a sonic exploration that blends elements of indie, lo-fi, shoegaze, and even digicore influences, reflecting a more introspective and personal aesthetic.
