Guys, it is happening a missconception with the Fi cognitive function here on this profile. And I believe in a lot of others. Fi does NOT judge morals as a rigid black-and-white that should be followed in all circumstances and seasons. Fi sees the morality as a spectrum of moralities, not as a black-and-white morality of: “good” and “evil”. Fi judges cases by case, individually, going deep in the morality to analize it better (just like Ti does with the logic) instead of the applicability of the morality. Now about the question, Carl Jung already answered that question on his book: Psychological Types! And it was actually very clear. The Moral Absolutism is exactly the Te dom: Extraverted Thinking Type. You don’t believe in me, right? So let’s take a read! 📚 1) Moral Absolutism 👨‍⚖️) “belief that the morality or immorality of an action can be judged according to FIXED STANDARDS OF RIGHT AND WRONG.” ~ Dictionary 2) Extraverted Thinking 🛃) "By this formula ARE GOOD AND EVIL MEASURED, and beauty and ugliness determined. ALL IS RIGHT THAT CORRESPONDS WITH THIS FORMULA; ALL IS WRONG THAT CONTRADICTS IT; AND EVERYTHING THAT IS NEUTRAL IS PURELY ACCIDENTAL. Because this formula seems to correspond with the meaning of the world, it also becomes a world-law whose realization must be achieved at all times and seasons, both individually and collectively. Just as the extraverted thinking type subordinates himself to his formula, so, for its own good, must his entourage also obey it, since the man who refuses to obey is wrong -- he is resisting the world-law, and is, therefore, unreasonable, immoral, and without a conscience. His moral code forbids him to tolerate exceptions; his ideal must, under all circumstances, be realized; for in his eyes it is the purest conceivable formulation of objective reality, and, therefore, must also be generally valid truth, quite indispensable for the salvation of man." ~ Carl Jung, Psychological Types That’s it! (I hope someone learned something new after reading that 🙏)
