Eden is a fourteen year old freshman girl who’s known to be a kind person in band who excels in her classes, as the story progresses after a life altering event, she becomes more closed off from the world, changes her physical appearance, cares less about her studies, drops band, distances herself from her friends, uses drugs & develops an image as a party girl to which people believe her to be promiscuous after someone stated so in her sophomore year. At the end of the story, Eden is a seventeen year old resilient & brave girl who has spoken up about a traumatizing occurrence she suffered from in silence, her courageousness in speaking up inspires others.
