you all who are saying she's e2 did we even watch the same show???? wanting to be cared about and being willing to help is not necessarily an e2 trait or whatever the reason is you guys are keep voting her as one. SHE HAS NO HEART TRIAD MOTIVES. ELENA GILBERT IS AN SP6. very obviously so. first off when does elena ever reflect on what place she has among people? when is she ever consciously focused on her image?? just compare her with caroline, an extremely obvious heart type. elena's main drive isn't from how she appears, isn't from image. i guess people think she's e2 because she wants to be protected, helps others and sometimes makes things about herself unnecessarily so. however you ignore the why. she doesn't want to create an image of someone who is helpful. she's not giving to get, there's no pride and flattery. from season 1 people really were out to get elena, she lost a lot of people. her assumptions come from her feeling like she's gonna lose more people around her or she herself is in danger or being lied to. it gets established extremely early on that elena is VERY BIG on trust. most of the time her actions come from trying to gather information and finding out something. i don't know how more sp6 a character can get for you all to notice. she might be eii or sei, voted eii for now
