Went through this story 3 different times at different points in my life and its interesting how my thoughts have changed for Haseo throughout (first time was when the games first came out, second was the remaster, and third is watching a friend play recently) For me, his journey isn't really one of an E5 or an E6 one, but really drenched in a E8 journey. One of the things that bother Haseo the most is when he feels he actually has now power within a situation. The entirety of volume 1 was him both lamenting and reveling in the power he lacked and later gained. While inferior Fe can explain his sandpaper like quality for many of his first relationships in R2, I feel like the 8 makes it extremely egregious, especially with the Fi doms in the story. It takes him a long time to realize that many people play The World for countless and very personable reasons. Him essentially "solo leveling" and using that strength to exert information he wanted from other PK'ers is truly a E8 move. If Haseo were an E5, the revelation at the end of Vol. 2 wouldn't have absolutely flabbergasted him the way that it did. Ti dom+E5 would've put step by step 2 and 2 together faaaar earlier. Healthy ISTP's truly are the silent guardians and i love the archetype for that. Once Haseo starts understanding his inner circle more, he's there for them with no words, judgements or showy actions. Just, there. Forceful when he needs to be with his messages and a little gentler when his Fe starts developing more in Vol. 3-4. Edgy memes aside, being much older myself now, I appreciate what they did with him.
