Okay, okay - we all know she's an ISTP, her Ti is fantastic, and her Se is great, her Fe is super super inferior (actually probably the most clear MBTI type of the whole party, and my personal favorite character). BUT - I wager she is not a 8 core, at least not really. For those not so familiar with the Enneagram-theory, look into what stress/disintegration means. Yes, current Cara behaves a LOT like an 8 core, but we have to consider - your type can NOT actually change throughout your life, no matter what happens. So we have to look at what we saw/heard about Cara before her abduction. I'm also guessing we can all buy into baby Cara being a 2w1 - but how is that compatible with her current 8-ish behavior? Well, 2 disintegrates into 8 (I'd recommend reading up on it here: https://personalitygrowth.com/enneagram-type-2-under-stress-enneagram-type-two-moving-in-the-direction-of-disintegration/) Disintegration is, in contrast to grips and even loops, in some cases permanent, making it the only way to ever (at least in a way) change (Enneagram-) type. What she was subjected to during her training had the 2 behave more and more like an (unhealthy, and over the course of the show, increasingly more healthy to the point where she begins showing traits of 2 again) 8 core (also 8 fix probably plays a part in that). "Twos have a deep desire to tend to the needs of those around them and feel like they are worthy of those people and their affections. They are giving people who spend a lot of time and energy caring for others, as well as seeking out ways to make them happy." Cara who refused to kill Thaddicus as a Baneling? Who wanted to die instead of Kahlan in that tomb? Who quietly seeks all possible ways to be of use to his party, even if she'd never admit to it? Who dedicated herself to serve Richard way more than she ever did with Rahl? Cara, your 2 is beginning to show again, and we all love it.

Cara Mason is a main character in the second season of the series. She is a Mord-Sith and the one who helped Richard kill Darken Rahl. In the first episode of season 2, when her Sisters of the Agiel betray her, Richard rescues her. After that incident, and realizing that Richard is the rightful Lord Rahl, both protect each other with their lives. Cara is always feisty and sharp-tongued and has the stomach to kill good people when none of the rest can. She approaches problems with the simplest, most direct and usually most violent solutions, often to the chagrin and amusement of the others.
