Nina is definitely the one with Ne in their friend group, if the other characters had even a bit of her Ne style thinking half of the drama would not have happened. Plus the random facts she quotes sometimes definitely sound like her Si tertiary coming through in a more playful attitude. It's crazy to me how the general consensus for Luna is ENFP. It's pure madness. Between the two, Nina is always the one making theories, asking "What if", connecting the dots, speculating. Luna almost never does this. She always brushes off Nina's words with a "Nina, you've read too many romance books" WHEN SHE'S LITERALLY ALWAY Luna's inability to read between the lines, is painful to watch, yet for some reason people type her ENFP!?! I'm not saying other types CAN'T connect the dots, I'm saying that the INABILITY to naturally theorise contradicts Ne. She only ever does this when Nina or Simon or someone else MAKES her do it. The very fact that Nina with Ne aux is so good at speculating compared to the supposed "Ne dominant protagonist", makes it very clear that people are using stereotypes when typing. I feel like people see creative/bubbly/hyperactive and instantly go: "Yup, most ENFP character ever." No. Just. No. That reduces Ne to some ADHD personality trait, when it's literally a mental process that can make one speculative and VERY adept to connecting the dots. People seem to forget that its extroverted INTUITION. Ne is very much the extroverted counterpart of Ni. Sorry for the rant about Luna's typing, but I really wanted to compare the difference between her and Nina.
