Episode 7–which, please, is the only time he isn’t a blank slate for you to project whatever you want onto—revealed that this is genuinely such a farcical. His lack of adaptability and logical consistency is glaring. Literally every time he saw something different in what he had already been informed was a parallel universe, he was absolutely bewildered and taken aback (how does this translate to a character who’s first instinct is characterised by observation and logic? No, moreover, one that feels extremely uncomfortable if their environment doesn’t make logical sense to them, they do everything in their power to understand first and foremost.) He instantly resorts to this unbridled expression of emotion. When Silco came on screen—standing RIGHT next to Vander: ‘didn’t you try to kill him [Vander]?’ no… no Ekko—you’ve had seemingly weeks to adapt to the fact that things here are not like they are in your universe, why do you struggle so hard to comprehend this? What possibly makes you think they had a fight in this universe when seemingly everything else is different? Moreover, why do you HAVE to voice it so ardently with little thought and with a total lack of tact? Ne users don’t play their hand IMMEDIATELY—that’s what ‘seeing potential’ is. It’s the ability to recognise that things taken in by the senses, even if they at first appear bad or dangerous, are able to be exploited by the individual. ENTPs are perceivers first and foremost, they therefore allow information to flow inwards without immediately making rash judgements and certainly without vocalising them with total force of will—that kind of force is very much a quality present in Se; Si users tend to be much more uncertain and incapable of force. Look to Eren Yeager and you will see many parallels between him and Ekko. Moreover, Ti, is, again concerned with ‘what is happening?’ and tends to that first and foremost. I can’t think of a single instance where he utilises Ti—detached, internal (often qualitative and for it’s own sake, not an end—though in Se-Ni types it is often miscellaneously applied to some immediate ‘end’) analysis of a situation. Many will justify his actions in Ep7 with the idea that ‘anyone would act that way due to the absurdity/emotions experienced’, and it’s just- I don’t feel this matters? As, if we only ever see him act this way, everything else is just pure conjecture—conjecture which devolves into this mentality that we’re seeing here: everyone voting the same way. We’re typing a show character—the show is the only evidence of his cognition.
