people on this website have a weird fixation on slapping INFJ ( or sometimes INFP) on female fic characters. Where is her Ni? She has all the traits of a stereotypical type 1 Si dom. upon meeting when devdas says they are seeing each other after a "long time", she denies and says its not a "long time" rather "10 years, 6 months 4 days 6 hours" for her. She mentions exactly how many letters he had written to her in those 10 years, she does the calculation where she says there are 4 seasons a year, if he really missed her he would write 1 letter per season so she could get 4 letters a year, 40 letters in 10 years instead of 5 (Si- Ti). She told him angrily that she read the 5 letters 5 times a day for 10 years straight i.e total 18,250 times. 'My measurements of you can never be wrong, I have known you for ages' she kept on lightening lamps for him for 10 years without skipping, also told Devdass the exact duration of that lamp burning: 87600 hours to show how valuable he was to her. 'Look how many things I did for you but you didn't even think of me' (Si-Fe) she kept holding on to her past while always doing what is expected of her according to the standards/societal expectations, even though her heart is somewhere else she does what she is supposed to do, what she should be doing as someone's wife, daughter & mother. Steadfast, resolute & dutiful, tightly holding on to & following people who is near and dear to her while her love for her close ones stands the test of time, she insisted on leaving for London with him. Fair and honest even as a child -- she is still bothered that she owes him three rupees. I don't see any Fi in her, the contrast between his fi and her fe can be noticed, i didn't see any instances where her feelings were being directed inwards instead of outwards as opposed to Devdas. Type 1 ISFJs resemble ISTJs to some extent, at least on the surface level. Type 1 ISFJs are like both mountain and water; immovable strong & resilient and nurturing, caring,soft hearted inside. Type 1s can appear rigid and blunt regardless of mbti bc they are focused on doing the "fair" , "right" thing. She probably has 4 fix too ( writing this while watching the movie, if I find more points i will edit this later)
