There's a huge misunderstanding here about this philosophy. Those who call us crybabies, edgelords and evil or argue only with circumstances like overpopulation and pollution simply don't understand the fundamentals. It's not about ourselves and It's not about the circumstances. Antinatalism is a method to eliminate suffering itself. At least in humankind. And if someone live, it is inevitable to suffer, no matter what are the circumstances. This is a fundamental part of human life. That's why we want to eliminate it, and this seems to be the most peaceful way. Of course, there will be a lot of people who say that they enjoy/enjoyed life overall, so maybe it is worth to live. But It's simply gambling. How could your parents know that your life will be okay? They can't, no one can. So instead dragging others into this while they had no say, help those who are suffering more than you at the moment. There are many of them. And the rest of us, fellow sufferers will go extinct, thus nobody will suffer anymore in our species. Or they will. I don't know. I'm agnostic, I don't know if there's something beyond life. My gut feeling says that the most probable is, that there is nothing. And if there is nothing, there is no suffering... Of course, I'm aware that we won't reach our goal. Most people are selfish, hedonistic and ignorant. And as someone wrote it already below, antinatalists will die eventually without heritage so we will always be the minority. Sorry for my english, it's not my native language. Edit: I think I'm no longer an antinatalist. It's still can be a rational view, depending on your thoughts about life, afterlife. I just don't think It will really cause less suffering. I'm pessimistic about our future, huge problems are coming. And everyone feels this. Everyone just trying to be happy and free in this chaos and I don't think we have much time. I can't look into a woman's eyes and say that "you shouldn't have children, bacause this and that." It feels like this: You love someone so much, he/she is before a serious surgery with 80% death rate. He/she does some things that you consider immoral, and blame them fighting with them about a lot of nonsense, instead of giving them as much love as you can. Morality itself can't help, only humanity. We are human, we really don't know anything. Then what to do? Now this seems to be the best way: Just spread as much love as you can. I know, It's really tough. I find it really hard too, I have love to give, like everyone else, but in this society, what we think about love seems corrupted and many of us suffer from that because the lack of usage of our consciousness. Consciousness seems to be the most important thing that distinguishes us from other lifeforms on this planet. But we aren't using it. We are causing misery to ourselves and doesn't even realise it. Our inner well-being depends on the outside world and then break when we get disappointed by it. The sooner you embrace impermanence, the better. So to not suffer from this, the best way is, maybe the buddhist way, non-attachment. I'm trying with meditation and find peace in myself, because only after that I can give pure love, which is not corrupted by attachment, expectations. I'm nowhere near perfect, but made some progress. I'm not saying that you should do this. Just find your "meditation". It doesn't matter which philosophy, religion is that. The goal is always the same. Decrease suffering. Try to do it with love, not with subjective moralities. You will end up fighting about nonsense. All the best! 🙏

Antinatalism is an ethical position that concludes that procreation is always wrong. Antinatalists refrain from procreating to spare their descendants from all the suffering that is an inherent part of existence. It acknowledges the inability of the unborn to consent. Many are furthermore concerned with preventing the damage inflicted by humans on wildlife, nature and other beings. In either case the goal is to reduce suffering. Antinatalism does not condone any harm to already existing beings. Reminder: Antinatalism is a philosophy, NOT a movement.
