❌SADNESS DOES NOT ≠ INFP❌ hate that people automatically say INFP when someone expresses solitude or emotional grief. INFPs lead with Introverted Feeling (Fi), focusing on internal values and authenticity, often feeling deeply connected to their emotions and ideals. Considering Elio’s behavior and how he deals with trauma, it’s understandable that he might seem more introverted or withdrawn. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean he is an INFP. Most will argue that he prefers to be alone, and is more frightened when he arrives at the camp.. but you HAVE to take age and trauma into consideration. He is a child, so his functions are underdeveloped and confusing, even for himself as he struggles to cope through it alone. Elio strives in topics and environments that align to his interests. Because of this, he has a hard time reading the room or even allows himself to stay in that room and reflect on his own emotions in a deeper level.
