from a comparation of xayah and zed made by myself: "both want to protect ionia but the "enemy" are different for zed and xayah for Xayah the enemies are the humans in general. If the humans didn't exist, ionia wouldn't be in such chaos. plus that, Xayah went through a lot of traumas due to mankind. she lost her father, part of her childhood and she was allmost **** when she tried to visit a human village. plus: Vastaya are weaker and can't reproduce due to the lack of magic in ionia right now. on the other hand, zed's enemy is something more philosophical: the neutral way of dealing with things. He hates shen not just because he was his rival but also because he hates the kinkou way of life." he is all about denying rules and costumes from ionia (Fi). The Fi function is the key to understand both xayah and zed. zed is an independent thinker and feeler. but he doesn't show his feelings at all. most of his actions are Ni-Te focused instead of Te-Ni. Years and Years planing alone coming to the kinkou temple and build the shadow clan just to fufill his Fi. Also, Kayn as his student is a pure Fi decision. He just acept Kayn because he reminds him of his own childhood. The same can be said about Xayah, Rakan being with her is only Fi. Zed isn't an ENTJ bc he values Fi TOO MUCH and he can't be an ISTP bc Fe is blindspot. well, the easier way i found to type Zed as INTJ was to make parallels btween him and another INTJ.
