Kang Hyo-Min is a clear example of an INFJ. Usually when I open the app I notice that the votes are aligned with my own thoughts, but this time it’s different, and I think it’s simply because the series just came out. I really love this series, so think of me as the lawyer presenting this case. I’m convinced many of you typed her as ENFP just because she once said she “wants to have fun” being a lawyer. But that’s not exactly the case, and I’ll explain my opinion in detail by looking at her cognitive functions. 1. Dominant Ni Hyo-Min doesn’t just think in terms of “the single case.” She’s guided by a bigger vision: becoming a lawyer and realizing an ideal of justice. During the impostor case with the copied painting, after carrying the whole case, Hyo-Min declares: “The law exists to punish people like you.” This makes her intentions clear: she stands for justice, and she practices law to bring balance to society. That’s not simply about “having fun.” Also, let’s not forget her extreme dedication and focus: Hyo-Min spends hours and hours in the office to finish her tasks and shows strong determination. That doesn’t feel like Ne-dominant (ENFP, ENTP), who usually move forward in a more scattered and generalized way. Even though she’s inexperienced, she’s consistent and determined. That’s textbook Ni, projecting scenarios and giving strong direction to life. 2. Auxiliary Fe This one’s obvious. She relates to her clients with genuine empathy, listens to their needs, and tries to support them. She feels deeply for people. Even her initial clumsiness comes from her desire to be accepted and useful. That’s classic Fe, which focuses on relational harmony. 3. Tertiary Ti When she builds legal arguments, you can see her working with internal reasoning, but it’s clearly not her primary strength. She uses Ti to refine her ideas, a little clumsy at times, but always in service of Ni and Fe. Her logic is guided by her vision and values, almost instinctively. That’s why Mr. Yoon reminds her not to let her personal feelings, judgments, or biases slip into the record, but to stick to facts and arguments that serve the law. And here’s a key difference: an ENFP would have Te tertiary, making them more naturally pragmatic and able to organize on the spot. Hyo-Min doesn’t show this tendency at all, which reinforces the Ni–Fe–Ti–Se stack. 4. Inferior Se She’s uncomfortable in the “present moment” and with immediate practicality: she’s clumsy in court and in direct action. That’s classic Se-inferior, struggling in chaotic environments but gradually growing through those very struggles. For ENFPs, Se is much more accessible, so again, this mismatch rules out Ne-dominant typing. Final Thoughts When Hyo-Min said she wanted to “have fun” being a lawyer, I don’t think she meant it in a playful, lighthearted ENFP way. For an INFJ, “fun” often means finding joy in fulfilling their vision, the satisfaction of living in alignment with what feels right. To me, her whole character arc shows: - Ni: vision, consistency, long-term goals; - Fe: empathy, harmony, relational awareness; - Ti: logical refinement, though secondary; - Se: clumsiness in action, but a space for growth. That’s why Hyo-Min is, in my view, unmistakably, a clear INFJ.
