As I thought in the beginning, this guy was definitely in an Fi-Si loop. Now here is my explanation: As I said, in the first episodes, he seemed blocked in his past and kept reliving past traumas, which meant he lacked a future vision. And which function is future-oriented? Exactly, it's Ne! If you watched the last two episodes, you can notice that his character is changing for the better. (Spoiler ahead.) He started exercising, cleaning his room, and trying to understand his daughter. In other words, he became motivated to make positive changes in his life. And why do you think he's changing? Because he started to see a better future with Do Da hae! He now has a strong belief that he will, without a doubt, save her (a clear future goal). All of these changes in his behavior and mindset lead to one conclusion: His Ne function has been revived.
