To avoid the charge, Larry must run to the far end of the screen and move to the top or bottom of the arena. The rider will eventually toss a javelin. Larry can pick up the javelin and throw it back at the rider to temporarily paralyze him. While the rider is paralyzed, Larry can attack. When the rider recovers, he will make the boar stomp the ground, which Larry can avoid by jumping with good timing.
