I know Wifies said that he sees Avery as INFP or ESFP.. But like most people here, I lean Avery as ENFP more than INFP or ESFP While I get why people might see INFP in his emotional sincerity or ESFP in his more casual outward presentation, Avery’s role in the story feels much more like someone following a strange trail of implications, possibilities, and emotional investment than someone purely centered on either private inward reflection or immediate sensory action. His whole arc starts with Derek’s warning and keeps unfolding through investigation, curiosity, and pushing forward into the unknown, which feels very Ne/Fi to me. So while I don’t think INFP or ESFP are impossible, ENFP makes the most sense overall EDIT: I AM COMPLETELY WRONG... AVERY DOES NOT HAVE OR AT LEAST HAS LITTLE TO NO SENSE OF NE!!! He interacts with the things around him to try to see where the next path is. He takes things at face value and blindly follows the crafting tables and other blocks "Derek" left behind because he thought Derek had placed them there And I see Avery as sx/so 2 over 4. He definitely has shame, self-comparison, and emotional intensity that can come off 4-ish, but his arc feels much more organized around connection to Derek than around identity itself Avery keeps coming back to Derek reaching out to him, and that turns into a strong sense that he has to keep going for him and can’t leave him behind. Even his self-deprecation reads more 2 than 4 to me, because it feels tied to not being enough to help someone important, not to being fundamentally incomplete or different. So overall, he makes more sense to me as an sx/so 2 with a lot of emotional depth, rather than a 4 core
