She's a very unhealthy Esfj. As an INFJ what I've noticed is that people have a really hard time detecting unhealthy Esfjs and Enfjs because of how easy it is to confuse them with thinking types. Mary has a VERY strong Fe. What makes it so inconspicuous is the fact that she WEAPONIZES it. Her emotional intelligence is very high. She knows what makes people uncomfortable, she knows how to get people to react and she does precisely that. She literally admits that she's a very good judge of character. The way she stereotypes Madeline into a woman of flawed character just because she's "short", she literally coerces Celeste and jane to reflect upon those painful incidences just to answer her questions... All these qualities emerge from her unhealthy Fe...Also Madeline's NOT an Esfj but an Esfp. There's NO Fe there, the entire conundrum of her life is woven upon her sense of self worth, morality and loyalty. That's Fi gone rogue.
