absolute girlboss. probably my favorite character in all of wolfenstein, fck anyone who says she's badly written or that she's just a btch. also she managed to say one of the most epic quotes I've ever heard in just 3 words. Blazkowicz: "Monsters did this." Grace: "Not monsters. Men." dehumanizing evil might seem like a good idea at first, but if you think about it, it's actually not a good thing. When you dehumanize someone by calling them a "monster", you're making it easier to distance yourself from the people you're dehumanizing and thus making the statement that normal people wouldn't be capable of doing such acts of evil a "monster" does, when in reality those "monsters" chose to do evil shit because they are human, and that's one of the most terrifying things of being a human: anyone has the capacity to choose to be evil. if we can't accept the fact that any person can be evil, then it becomes so much easier to become evil ourselves, because in our minds we are human while the other person is a monster, so we end up giving in to the desire to think that we aren't capable of doing evil ourselves because we're different from them, because evil is something monsters do but since we're human then we're not capable of doing stuff like that, when in reality, the only thing that differentiates a good person from an evil person is their decisions. by calling evil people monsters, we're refusing to hold ourselves accountable, we're refusing to accept the fact that the only thing that will prevent us from becoming as evil as the people we call monsters, is to make the decision to be good instead of evil.
