Proof that leading a disorderly life doesn't make you a perceiver. In terms of cognitive functions, Donne's poems show an overwhelmingly strong Ni. His satirical wit and sense of humor are also very Ti; he does with Fe tact what an INTP would do in a more blunt fashion. Lots of in-jokes and paradoxes. Although his life was far more tumultuous and poorly planned than, say, Milton's, Donne was clearly the INFJ of the two, and Milton the INFP. John Donne ( DUN; 22 January 1572 – 31 March 1631) was an English poet and cleric in the Church of England. He is considered the pre-eminent representative of the metaphysical poets. His works are noted for their strong, sensual style and include sonnets, love poems, religious poems, Latin translations, epigrams, elegies, songs, satires and sermons.
