Thomas is an ENTP. (A BREAKDOWN!!) ENTP: Ne — Ti — Fe — Si As an ENTP Obviously his dominant cognitive is Ne in which users tend to chase possibilities, imagine future success and etc. You can see where im going from here because Thomas got inspired by a fictional story of two brothers getting rich and he believes he cam replicate that in Paradise City that he can go rags to riches. His biggest Ne moment was when he siphoned the gas from the bus to strand everyone in the city, he's risking it all to force the situation within to match his idea/vision. His secondary cognitive is Ti in which it acts up here as prioritizing what makes sense to him and building his own reasoning systems in which Thomas lies about his reason for coming and again, stranded everyone but he rationalizes himself that this is all necessary for his plans and at the end he will be deemed as a hero for what he'll achieve after. Tertiary; Fe (Extroverted Feeling) in which Thomas wants connection but handles it poorly and can manipulate/charm socially. It shows when he lies to everyone as he masked his True intentions and his intent to manipulate the doctor for his own gain because he thinks everything is the doctor's fault. His Fe especially kicks in when he became so lost now that he's all alone but he doesnt know how to maintain those connections because on the first place, he doesn't maintain trust so instead of real connections he creates conflicts. His inferior cognitive is Si, ENTPs have a weak sense of that in which Thomas' Sheltered upbringing means he has no real survival experience which he underestimates the dangers of Paradise City BUT THIS IS NOT A GAME?? He believes he can succeed because of stories and ideas. Now his obsession with the cure stems up from his Ne because his interest in it is if he got the cure out of Paradise City he can sell it to people outside and strike gold which fits for ENTP's because they tend to like new discoveries and solving big problems. Thomas is a textbook ENTP, not the "ooh I wanna debate" type shi ENTP. I dont believe he's necessarily evil but he's not grounded enough to survive his own ideas.
