amazing. it’s like god said, “let’s make the most esoteric, symbolic, terrifying, yet oddly hopeful piece of literature ever". the vibes are unsettling yet poetic. it’s the narrative equivalent of staring into the abyss and having the abyss hand you a salvation coupon if you took an anime finale where everything goes wild and mashed it with eldritch horror, you’d get this book. the four horsemen are basically the og shonen villain squad, and john’s visions are so cryptic. i love this book
