Nolan ruined the most nerd, troll, genius character of the greek mythology - ENTP. Trading it for the classic basic full of morals, badass and serious hero. Thus making this bad cast of Matt Damon almost playing himself as an ISTP Original Odysseus is a classic ENTP, he is described as a guy who poses awkwardly in a way that no one cares, but once he speaks, his logic and smartness penetrate everyone (just like Socrates). He is ingenious, tricking everyone to get what he wants, he doesn't care about false honor and brute force like the classic heroes. He cares about having the best plan to get what he wants, it doesn't matter if he has to lie or run away to prevent his death or of his mates. Even getting roped to the mast instead of not wearing the wax makes zero sense for this Nolan character, the original Odysseus was egocentric with an insatiable intelectual curiosity. He had to be the first and only mortal who heard the syrens and lived, and mostly he had to know what they really chant (because they have the knowledge of the world). With this, I just conclude that Nolan is a poser, he just wants to make the most safe clichet bet to please the most amount of people and make sure he gets the money and praise form the masses.
