“The imagination of nature is greater than the imagination of man.” After reflecting on this quote, I have found that it is a very interesting example of the difference between Ne and Ni. Ni’s imagination will draw from the subject. That is how Ni is introverted. However, Ne’s imagination will draw from the object. It will be inspired from the external world. That is why Jung described Ne as projecting the collective unconscious. It is fascinating to think of Ne as channeling “the imagination of nature” itself. Truly fascinating. I am grateful to have stumbled across this quote, and learn more about Feynman. It can really inform you just how Ne engages with the external world, and comes to learn of it’s very nature.

Richard Phillips Feynman (May 11, 1918 – February 15, 1988) was an American theoretical physicist known for his work in the path integral formulation of quantum mechanics, the theory of quantum electrodynamics, and the physics of the superfluidity of supercooled liquid helium, as well as in particle physics for which he proposed the parton model.
