Miltiades was a Athenis statesman, general and citizen who is estimated to have lived from 555 BCE to 489 BCE; He is mostly known for his impulsive act during the battle of Marathon in 490 BCE which led the Greeks to victory against the Persians,opting for a completely new battle tactic,which was based on solely an observation he made,instead of the traditional one. He was a very good speaker as he managed to convince everyone in the assembly to approve of his new tactic. He was eager,and yearned for power continuingly in his life and was described by Herodotus as someone who saw what needed to be done and did it,this is referring to when he took the power after his brothers death and used it to his advantage because he knew the elderly of the kingdom he was ruling would try to convince him and manipulate him to give power to the people. Miltiades by the end of his life had been forgotten as he rotted in prison for treason accusations
