Provost is an assertive, organized, judgmental, and logic-driven individual. He values order and control, especially when things don't go according to plan. His main cognitive functions are: Te (dom), as seen by his organized nature and logical reasoning, Si (aux), which is seen through his love for history and wars, Ne (tet), and Fi (inf). This makes him an ESTJ and a LSE. As for his Psychosophy, I believe he is EVLF. He often lets his anger and emotions take control; he's a guy that loves romance and passionate emotions, which I think makes him an E1. Provost is a V2, mainly because he helps maintain order within his groups. Although he doesn't take full control of the group, as seen in NHHT, where he allows Nathan Hale to tell stories freely. Which I think separates him from a V1. He's a L3 to a T, he is absolutely skeptical and critical of the information given to him. And lastly, he is an F4 mainly due to his occupation as a soldier for the British army. I believe Provost suppresses his pain and discomfort in order to succeed at his job. His Temperament is 100% Choleric. He's driven by his passion and assertiveness, which can lead to being perceived as fiery and controlling. Provost's Enneagram is kinda tricky for me to understand fully, but I'll try to explain what I think. His core is e6, as he cares a lot about order and protection, specifically behind rules and laws. He's more specifically 6w5 as he also fears being incompetent; he wants to be correct in both his beliefs, but also his logic. His tritype is most likely 638, underneath the Social subtype. Provost values his own image and prestige, which I think points him in the direction of being a 3 fix. His assertiveness and need to be seen as both correct and in control points him towards being an 8 fix. But he could also very likely be a 1 fix based on his judgmental nature. I wanna say his instinctual stacking is so > sp > sx. He is most likely a Social 6: Provost seems to follow the orders given to him by his superiors (General Howe) and he enjoys having a solid structure to abide by. As for his Motives, I think he's mC/T/WD[R]s. His primary focus is on Rigidity and Thinking. He is very stiff and serious towards others, and doesn't tolerate incompetence and idiocy. His thinking motive shines through his need to plan ahead; in the unused NHHT introduction (posted on the author's blog), it's implied that Provost cannot start a hanging without the hanging orders for him to read. His Big 5 SLOAN is SL[O]En. He prioritizes organization above all else, as he is shown to be uptight and rigid. Needless to say, I love Provost.
