meursault is VERY CLEARLY so6 canto 10 is about him refusing to use his judgement because of the gazes of everyone else, that they would judge him if what he did was right. everyone else nails expectations onto him and so then he wants to find the right thing to do via an authority or system so that he won't be judged harshly, you could say he tries to avoid the uncertainty that comes with his actions by doing the right thing provided an authority or a system tells him what to do canto's 10 ending is about meursault not letting the fear of uncertainty get to him and continuing to use his judgement, only that he will work to change it if he's ever wrong, he doesn't avoid it constantly or tries to do only the right thing anymore. "A world without certainties is a world without answers, and cast upon this answerless world, I was just so afraid of the now that— But I reach out with my hands anyway. Even if I am afraid." whoever puts him as e5, even after canto 10, is the biggest larp of all time
