I think he's an E7 rather than an E5—actually, E5 might not actually be in his tritype at all. His alcoholicism and seeking of pleasure is very evident throughout the series. Despite being in a war, he still finds a way to indulge in his pleasures, even going going so far as to store his own alcohol in Winters' locker. His entire personality in general is pretty self-indulgent and pretty spontaneous, his entire backstory of being a rich, spoiled Yale student before the war contributing to why I think he's an E7. His entire character in general is, to me, a textbook example of an E7. Him having E8 and E4 in his fix also makes a lot of sense to me—he's not hesitant to tell people (epecially Winters) what he thinks and him just straight up ranting is shown often throughout the series. Just my opinion though!
