"The Ice Pea is the coldest Peashooter around, but still carries a warm personality". Snow Pea, sometimes referred to as Ice Pea, is a major recurring plant character within the Plants vs. Zombies franchise. Snow Pea acts like typical Peashooters, except Snow Pea has the ability to slow down or even freeze zombies entirely by firing frozen peas at them. It is safe to assume that Snow Pea is considered the flagship ice plant. Snow Pea's character descriptions across all games present in are always littered with various ice-based puns and wordplay, something that Snow Pea has shown frequent distain and annoyance at. Aside from a strong distaste towards ice jokes, Snow Pea has been stated to be quite amicable amongst friends and is said to be quite physically active, participating in a number of activities such as table tennis, spelunking and ice sculpting. Like most other pea-shooting plants, Snow Pea is based on the pea plant (Pisum sativum).
