Usagi has absolutely no Si or Fe! Whenever all her friends told her not to put herself in danger just to help the person she loves, she completely ignored them. Most of the time she got bad grades at school (though grades aren’t the ultimate measure of functions), but still, a high Si+Fe person would care deeply about that kind of thing. In almost every case she came up with the ideas and plans in her own head to defeat the enemy. Whenever people warned her or told her “don’t do this,” she never listened, whereas a strong Si+Fe user is extremely aware of their own behavior and the opinions of friends and family matter a lot to them. But Usagi is the complete opposite: pure Ne+Fi. Only her own beliefs and what she personally feels is right matter to her. The very first thing you see in every episode is that Usagi isn’t in the present at all; she’s always in her own world, her daydreams, her fantasies, and her endless “what ifs.” ESFJs are grounded, detail-oriented, routine-loving, and heavily tied to social rules and expectations. Usagi? She’s always late, forgets her homework, puts her uniform on wrong, and even when she has to be a hero, she starts crying and says “I can’t do this!” because her own feelings have to be right first, not her social duty. When an enemy appears, an ESFJ would first say “We have to unite the team, everyone together, follow the plan.” Usagi? She first says “I don’t want anyone to get hurt, not even the enemy!” (pure Fi personal value), then suddenly throws out a completely unexpected, crazy idea no one saw coming (textbook Ne): “What if we attack with love?”, “What if I sacrifice myself and everyone gets saved?”, “What if we try a totally new way?” And somehow that insane idea always works. In critical moments when everyone tells her “You’re a princess, you have to be serious, you have to take responsibility,” Usagi replies “I just want everyone to be happy and stay with my friends, I want to be myself, that’s it!” That’s textbook Fi-aux saying “I have to be true to my own values first, not to what society expects of me.” An ESFJ would never say that; they put group harmony and social expectations first. Even in the final season when she has to save the entire galaxy, she cries first, then says “I can’t do it without my friends,” and makes a completely emotional, personal decision that breaks every rule in the universe. An ESFJ wouldn’t do that; they’d say “I have to do my duty,” while Usagi says “I’m doing what my heart tells me.”
